About

Jessy Van Durme is a Belgium-based multidisciplinary designer, creative director and consultant. Her skills lie in creating tailored aesthetic concepts and translating them across scales – from interior spaces, to print campaigns and digital branding.

Jessy’s broad skillset and perspective on design is unique; she studied interior design at the Academy of Arts Antwerp, has worked as a graphic designer, and has experience in art direction, production, video direction, branding and communication. With the ability to take both a bird’s eye view and a detail-oriented approach, Jessy can advise on everything from the direction of a photography campaign to the grade of paper or binding on a magazine.

Though, to tell a story visually and cohesively, her greatest skill applied at every level is empathy. Working with Jessy will involve unfolding a holistic vision – one driven by history, ethics, daily life and future ambitions. Concepts that feel abstract, will translate into a tangible and expressive design concept. The result will be authentic, sensitive and perceptive.

This can be seen across all of her projects from a print and digital campaign and showroom interior design for Vincent Sheppard, to creative direction across video, photography and print for Designs of the Time. As well as in AKT, the magazine she edits alongside her partner, photographer Piet Albert Goethals; L’Officine, the creative retreat she designed and now runs in the Belgian countryside; and in the ceramics she sculpts in her home studio.
